Potato Days Festival is two day held every year in Barnesville city in Clay County, Minnesota, United States during the end of August.
This festival is held here because it is a top potato-growing region of the nation.
During this festival, around 20,000 tater lovers from across the country come to this town to take part in potato-peeling and picking contests and enjoy food booths serving potato pancakes, dumplings and sausage.
As the tag line of this festival says “The Potato Days Festival is an a’peeling’ time”, this festival is really appealing with many unique activities taking place each year like which include mashed potato sculpting to potato sack fashions, the golden potato hunt to sewing and stacking competitions, potato peeling contests, potato car races, or the Miss Tator Tot Pageant, etc. The festival also includes a parade, car show, and street dances.
