The 12th annual Festival of Lights will take place in German capital of Berlin in October this year. Berlin’s major cultural and historical landmarks, streets and squares lit up in colors for 12 nights to celebrate this festival.
Some of these light ups are static while others are dynamic works of art, but all of them are worth seeing. The lights, events, fireworks and projection together make the Festival of Lights amazing.
The city of Berlin sparkles with illuminations range and projections of light up on more than 70 famous landmarks and spaces, including Brandenburg Gate, Quadriga sculpture, the Unter den Linden Boulevard, the Berlin concert hall, Hauptbahnhof train station, the Victory Column, Radio Tower, Schloss Charlottenburg Palace, the Berlin Cathedral Church (Berliner Dom) and the Oberbaumbruecke bridge across river Spree.
The landmark Europa-Center, as well as Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the west of the city are gonna be lite for the first time. Special “lightseeing” tours on the Light-Liner bus, by boat on the Light-Ship, on foot with the Light-Cruso, hot air ballooning or by rickshaw with the Light-Velo will give locals and visitors alike the chance to experience the creative compositions for the whole night.
This year, the Berlin Festival of Lights is taking place from 6th October to 17th October 2017.
