King’s Circle’s GSB Seva Ganesh mandal’s Ganpati is very famous in Mumbai and wordwide. Here’s Ganesh Idol is popularly known as Golden Ganesh of Mumbai as it is adorned with gold and silver jewellary worth 100 millions of rupees.
Often stated as the richest Ganesh Mandal in Mumbai, GSB Seva Ganesh Mandal was started by Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community from Karnataka in 1954.
The Ganesh Idol of this mandal is always a eco-friendly idol made of clay and not like others which are made from plaster of paris. The mandal is also unique because there’s none of the usual recorded music played here during the ten day festival. Instead of playing such music, traditional Indian musical instruments used in south Indian temples is played.
