Maha Shivratri means the great night of Shiva or night of Shiva. The festival falls on the moonless, 14th night of the new moon in the Hindu month of Phalgun (February or March).
On the festival of Maha Shivaratri, devotees observe day and night fast and worship Shiva Lingam, to appease Lord Shiva.
Maha Shivratri is a Hindu festival celebrated every year all over the world with great devotion by the devotees of Lord Shiva one of the Hindu Gods forming the Trinity.
