Navkar Mantra, also known as Namokar Mantra or Navakār Maha Mantra is the most important mantra used in Jainism. It is recited by the devotee to bows with respect to humans who have cleared their gathi karmas known as arihants, fully liberated souls known as siddhas, spiritual leaders known as acharyas, teachers and monks known as upajjhayas. It can be recited at any time of the day.

Navakār Maha Mantra :
णमो लोए सव्व साहूणं
मंगला णं च सव्वेसिं, पडमम हवई मंगलं
Navakār Mantra in English with its Meaning :
Namo Arihantanam – I bow to the arihants.
Namo Siddhanam – I bow to the siddhas.
Namo Ayariyanam – I bow to the acharyas.
Namo Uvajjhayanam – I bow to the teachers.
Namo Loe Savva Sahunam – I bow to all the saddhus.
Esopancanamokkaro, Savvapavappanasano – This five-fold bow (mantra) destroys all sins and obstacles and of all auspicious mantras, is the first and foremost one.
Mangala Nam Ca Savvesim, Padamama Havai Mangalam – And, of all auspicious mantras, (it) is indeed the foremost auspicious one.
Many devotees recites it for 108 times of a bead in a rosary. The reason being, there are twelve (12) virtues of Arihants, eight (08) virtues of Sidhdhs, thirty six (36) virtues of Acharyas, twenty five (25) virtues of Upadhyays and twenty seven (27) virtues of Sadhus and the total number of all the virtues is 108.
