Navratri 2017 Dates : Durga Puja 2017 Dates

Navratri is a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Shakti (Hindu Mother Goddess) and her various forms.

The word Navaratri is a sanskrit word which means nine nights. The festival is also known as Durga Puja.

During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti / Devi are worshiped with great devotion.

Although celebrated with great enthusiam all over India, the festival is popular for its grand celebrations and festivites in West Bengal and Gujarat.

The 10th day of the festival is known as Vijayadashami or Dussehra.

Navratri 2017 Dates :

In 2017, Navratri will be celebrated from 21 to 29 September 2017.

Navaratri Ghatasthapana will take place on 21 September 2017.

Dussehra or Vijayadashami will be celebrated on 30th September 2017.

Durga Puja 2017 Dates :

In 2017, Mahalaya will be celebrated on 19 September 2017.

Durga Puja will be celebrated from 26 to 30 September 2017.

  • Shashthi will be celebrated on 26 September 2017.
  • Saptami will be celebrated on 27 September 2017.
  • Mahaashtami will be celebrated on 28 September 2017.
  • MahaNavami will be celebrated on 29 September 2017.
  • Dussehra or Vijayadashami will be celebrated on 30th September 2017.
