Navratri 2018 Dates : Durga Puja 2018 Dates

Navratri is a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Shakti (Hindu Mother Goddess) and her various forms.

The word Navaratri is a sanskrit word which means nine nights. The festival is also known as Durga Puja.

During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti / Devi are worshiped with great devotion.

Although celebrated with great enthusiam all over India, the festival is popular for its grand celebrations and festivites in West Bengal and Gujarat.

The 10th day of the festival is known as Vijayadashami or Dussehra.

Navratri 2018 Dates :

In 2018, Navratri will be celebrated from 10 to 18 October 2018.

Navaratri Ghatasthapana will take place on 10 October 2018.

Dussehra or Vijayadashami will be celebrated on 19th October 2018.

Durga Puja 2018 Dates :

In 2018, Mahalaya will be celebrated on 8th October 2018.

Durga Puja will be celebrated from 15 to 19 October 2018.

  • Shashthi will be celebrated on 15th October 2018.
  • Saptami will be celebrated on 16th October 2018.
  • Mahaashtami will be celebrated on 17th October 2018.
  • MahaNavami will be celebrated on 18th October 2018.
  • Dussehra or Vijayadashami will be celebrated on 19th October 2018.
