The Notting Hill Carnival is a grant event held every year on the streets of Notting Hill, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London, UK.
It is a two day carnival being orgainsied since 1966. It is on the August bank holiday Monday and the day beforehand.
The West Indian community, particularly the Trinidadian and Tobagonian British population or “Trinis” participate in this event as many of them have lived in the area since the 1950s.
The records say more then one million visitors from around the world come to watch miles long vibrant colourful costumes surrounded with more then 40 static sound systems along with hundreds of Caribbean food stalls over 40,000 volunteers and over a million revellers. The Notting Hill Carnival is suppose to be one of the largest street festivals in the world.

The Carnival Bands will take to the roads from around 9am on 26th, 27th and 28 August 2017.
The Carnival parade should complete its procession by 7pm.
Sunday is Children’s day and Monday is Adults day.
