Established in 1893, Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust is the richest and most popular Ganpati in Pune.
The Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple was founded in 1893 by Dagadusheth Halwai, a wealthy sweet seller businessman in Pune, the year in which Lokmanya Tilak started the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. From this year onwards, the temple is celebrating the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Ganeshotsav, the ten day Ganesh festival begins on Ganesh Chaturthi and ends on Anant Chaturdashi.
In 2013 Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 9th September 2013 and Anant Chaturdashi will be celebrated on 18th September 2013.
